GAONCHIPS announced today that it has established a new subsidiary, GAONCHIPS AMERICA, in Silicon Valley, USA, and held an opening ceremony on the 8th.
This is the company's second overseas subsidiary, following the Japanese subsidiary established in 2022.
Through the U.S. subsidiary, GAONCHIPS plans to strengthen networking with local customers and conduct active sales activities.
It also plans to build competitive advantage by securing the latest technology trends in the semiconductor industry in the US.
As the head of the U.S. subsidiary, Soon-Gon Kim, Senior Vice President, formerly the head of PI 2 Group, has been appointed.
Mr. Kim has more than 20 years of experience at Samsung Foundry. He will be responsible for the successful establishment of the U.S. subsidiary and strengthening its global competitiveness.
