GAONCHIPS, a semiconductor design company, announced today that it is entering the U.S. market in earnest with the establishment of a new subsidiary, GAONCHIPS AMERICA Inc. in Silicon Valley, California.

This is the company's second overseas subsidiary after its Japanese subsidiary in 22 years, and will provide direct access to the U.S. market. 

According to GAONCHIPS source, "We participated in the Samsung Foundry Forum in San Jose last year and confirmed the potential of the U.S. market, so we started to establish the corporation in earnest."

GAONCHIPS will enter the US market based on its design technology for advanced processes accumulated as a best design partner of Samsung Foundry and Arm.

In particular, GAONCHIPS plans to increase profitability by actively responding to the high-growth AI market.
