To lead this newly created group, the company has appointed Jungho Woo as Executive Vice President.
Through this strategic appointment, GAONCHIPS aims to further enhance its customer-tailored SoC (Custom ASIC) design capabilities while accelerating its penetration into global markets.
Proven SoC Design Leader from Global Semiconductor Companies
Mr. Woo brings over 20 years of proven leadership in SoC design across leading global semiconductor companies. He previously held core development roles at Texas Instruments (TI) and Qualcomm, specializing in SoCs and application processors (APs), building deep technical expertise. At LG Electronics, he broadened his scope into mobile APs and camera systems, where he was recognized as one of the youngest executives in the company’s history for his outstanding leadership.
Since 2021, Mr. Woo led the SoC development division at Hanwha Vision and later became the founding CEO of VisionNext, a fabless spin-off, where he simultaneously drove SoC R&D and business operations. He is widely acknowledged as a leader combining both international customer engagement and technical excellence, having successfully managed multiple collaboration projects with global clients.

GAONCHIPS has established its position in the industry with its Full Turn-Key design solutions, covering the entire semiconductor value chain—from SoC architecture, physical design, foundry mass production, to packaging and test.
With the addition of Mr. Woo, GAONCHIPS expects to combine its differentiated technical capabilities with global market experience and customer networks, enabling the company to better serve overseas customers seeking advanced SoC solutions.
