"We will strive to become the best system semiconductor in the world in Korea," said Jung Kyu-dong, CEO of GAONCHIPS
"As we have done so far, we will continue to make efforts to innovate according to the needs of our customers," said Jung Kyu-dong (49), CEO of GAONCHIPS, which is located in Pangyo Silicon Park, Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si on the 5th.
"In fact, system semiconductors are used in various industries such as Automotive and AI, so the requirements of each customer's products are very different and the speed of technology development is very fast compared to other industries," he said. "In order for GAONCHIPS to provide its customers with products and services with the best quality and competitiveness, I think it is important to have the ability to meet various development requirements of customers based on development experience."
As system semiconductor processes become finer and necessary functions become more advanced, it is very difficult to provide processes that customers are trying to use when necessary. This is why GAONCHIPS is making all-out efforts to carry out collaboration with maximum efficiency.
"The most important goal is to ensure that the process is carried out according to the delivery date," CEO Jung said. "To this end, we are increasing communication with customers and allowing internal engineers to work with high efficiency."
In particular, GAONCHIPS improved the working environment of engineers by establishing an internal communication network ▶ an optional flexible work system such as the voluntary work system for employees and the core time work system. "I think the starting point for developing design house capabilities is to develop the capabilities of internal engineers," he said. "In the end, the design experience of engineers is the competitiveness of GAONCHIPS."
When asked about the future of GAONCHIPS, CEO Jung said, "It is currently GAONCHIPS' goal to contribute to the development of the domestic system semiconductor industry with its customers in order to achieve Korea's goal of becoming the world's best in the system semiconductor sector," adding, "We will develop the capabilities of GAONCHIPS, a semiconductor design house, in line with the government's strong will to become a semiconductor powerhouse."
"We will further strengthen cooperation and communication to provide semiconductor Ietellectual Property (IP) solutions at a time when we need the needs of various customers, providing an environment where customers can develop their products more smoothly and reliably," he said.
