Arm, IP support for Telechips Battlefield AP 'Dolphin 5'
[Tech World] Arm supplies Arm IP product line including Arm Mali-G78AE Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) to Dolphin 5 chipsets, which are used for electronic devices of Telechips.
Telechips said it has adopted Arm Cortex-A76 Central Processing Unit (CPU), Arm Ethos-N78 Neural Network Processing Unit (NPU), support for safety functions, and Arm Mali-G78AE GPU to meet the requirements of high performance, safety, low power and scalability that are essential for next-generation automotive APs. In addition, Telechips can register with Arm Flexible Access and utilize various Arm IPs, including Arm's Functional Safety IP Package, in the design of Telechips SoC without pre-licensing costs.
In addition, Telechips will work with GAONCHIPS for the project. GAONCHIPS is a design solution partner and Arm authorized design partner of Samsung foundry, and provides design services using Samsung foundry process and infrastructure to its customers SoC products based on Arm technology and maintains close partnerships with major packaging and testing companies.
Lee Soo-in, managing director of Telechips Future Strategy Group, said, "By enabling us to utilize advanced automatic IP total solutions through our partnership with Arm, we have established a position to successfully support global car manufacturers' development of next-generation automatic platforms. Arm's IP product line, including the latest GPU, Mali-G78AE, will play a key role in Dolphin 5, and we hope to continue our long-term partnership with Arm."
